Kent

Kent is one of the 48 counties of England and is based in the south east of the country.  Kent is commonly called 'The Garden of England' and has a population of around 1.7 million people.  Out of all the counties of England, Kent has the fifth largest population.  The name 'Kent' is believed to be of Celtic origin and is thought to mean 'corner-land' due to its geographical location in reltion to the sea and neighbouring counties.
